Who are we?

  • The WIA Youth Program is a totally free federally funded program that was implemented to assist eligible youths that are in need of assistance with employment, education, training and career development.

Who do we serve?

  • Youths between the ages of 17 and 21 who are low income and are within one of the following categories:
    • Deficient on basic literacy skills
    • School Dropout
    • Homeless, runaway or foster child
    • Offender, or
    • An individual (including a youth with disability) who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program, or to secure and hold employment. 
  • This program has eligibility requirements. 

Employment

  • Career Advice
    • Professional Career Development Facilitators will assist you with determining the career that fits you and your lifestyle. 
    • We can assist you in developing a resume that outlines your personal and professional skills.
    • Career Assessment
  • Job Search Assistance
  • Job Shadowing and Paid Work Experience
    • Determine what kind of career you really want to work by being trained by people who actually do the job. 
    • Earn while you learn. You may even be eligible to receive a paycheck while you gain hands on work experience.
  • Top Paying Careers

Education

  • Assistance earning your GED or Diploma and improving basic skills
  • On average High School Graduates earn $10,000 more per year than Drop-Outs.
  • Financial Aid Assistance
    • We can assist you in applying for State, Federal and private aid including grants, loans and scholarships to pay for college and training.

    • Certified Nurses Assistant
