ETD Michigan Works! Service Centers provide a wealth of information and assistance for job seekers,
education and training seekers and employers. Our centers provide
job seekers with a number of employment opportunities through our
centers including career counseling, career planning, resume assistance,
direct job placement, access to Michigan Talent Bank, information
about local and national labor markets, unemployment compensation
information and much more. Our programs are designed to assist and
prepare individuals for entry into the labor force and can help individuals
who face serious barriers to employment obtain the necessary assistance
to get and keep a job. The programs offered are funded through the
Southeast Michigan Community Alliance/Michigan Works! A public-private
partnership of employment and training agencies, employers and social
services providers.
Programs offered:
- Workforce Investment Act (WIA): WIA funds provide occupational
training; basic education and other job related training opportunities for
eligible adults, dislocated workers-homemakers, and youth. To find out if you

- Youth Mentoring & Advocacy Program (Youth MAP) "Fire
Up Your Future" with a job or free training. If you are a youth
ages 18-21, you may qualify for some exciting programs geared
towards servicing your Employment and Educational needs. Click

- Welfare to Work Programs: Including Work First, Welfare-to-Work,
Food Stamp only, non custodial parents and non cash recipients
which provide job search assistance and training and appropriate
supportive services. Working closely with our local FIA offices.

- Michigan's Talent Bank: Provides Internet-based labor
exchange for employers and job seekers. You can search for jobs
and post resumes and job openings. Tap into the hidden job market.
The talent bank is available to all Michigan residents, regardless
