Michigan Works! Service Centers offer employer
services comparable to those you might pay thousands of dollars
for through private placement firms. Our centers are funded through
federal and state monies, so you pay nothing for most services!
With our network
we assist hundreds of employers throughout southeast Michigan. Our
centers are designed to be a quick, easy-to-use option for both,
matching job seeker skills and experience with employer need to
produce satisfied customers on both ends of the spectrum.

save you time and money, the State of Michigan implemented this
Internet-based system. Michigan Works! can provide you with information
on:
- Accessing
and searching the Talent Bank for qualified candidates
- Posting
your job openings on the Talent Bank
- Exploring/accessing
labor market trends and information, including industry wage rates
- Linking
to your Michigan Works! Agency for a broad range of additional
services
TAX CREDITS AND BONDING A
variety of tax credits are available to employers who hire individuals
who meet certain criteria, including:
- Short-term
welfare recipients
- Veterans
(family member receiving Food Stamps)
- Food Stamp
recipients 18 – 24 years of age
- “Summer”
Youth (16 – 17 years of age)
- Residents
of a federally designated Empowerment Zone,
- Enterprise
Community or Renewal Community
- Individuals
with a physical or mental disability
- Ex-Felons
- Supplemental
Security Income (SSI) recipients
Michigan Works! staff may also assist you in obtaining
Fidelity Bonding for individuals who cannot be commercially bonded
for any reason.
